The Year Ahead

The other day I was in an office supply store when I noticed a stack of calendars and planners for 2021. I cynically thought, “Well, that’s hopeful.” Many of our plans for last year dissolved in a series of shut-downs, lockdowns and other disruptions. Making plans seemed futile. Looking ahead is indeed hopeful. In that spirit, I want to share what is in store for the first few months of 2021 here at Urzela.

Designing Your Life Book Club

Starting on January 10, we will be going through Designing Your Life (Bill Burnett & Dave Evans). Each week we will read and discuss a chapter, and share our efforts in the exercises. Our meetings will be live via Zoom as well as an online discussion board. The goal is to provide encouragement, feedback and support as we design our future!

Book Club: Fiction

Fictional stories can be inspirational, and teach us something about ourselves and our world. By tapping into a fictitious character’s story, we can reflect on our own lives. We will kick off our Fiction Book Club in late February with Blindness by José Saramago.

Workshops

Our workshops will be deep dives into subjects that we explored in the Threshold retreat. Join us for live online workshops on “Designing Meaningful Rituals” and a discussion on our “Resistance to Change.”

Solopreneur MasterMind Group

Are you a solo entrepreneur, starting to feel a bit stir crazy at home? Are you just getting started and missing the camaraderie of working with colleagues, or even in an in-person co-working space? Are you interested in participating in a MasterMind Group? We can share ideas, resources, questions. Each month we will meet online for a live discussion.

One-on-One Coaching

I am so excited to announce that I recently successfully completed and earned a Business Coaching Diploma from PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC). Although the course focused on business and leadership coaching, we learned many fabulous tools to use when coaching people in a variety of situations. My intention is to apply for the first level of accreditation through the International Coaching Federation. This will require that I develop a portfolio of 100 hours of coaching.

If you are interested in receiving coaching support for any challenge or issue, please let me know and we can schedule a quick informational chat!
